From service to supply chain.

SubVet was founded by a disabled veteran who saw a gap in how California state agencies procure replacement HVAC parts. Too often, facilities managers spend days tracking down a single compressor or coil, navigating procurement rules, and hoping the vendor they find can actually deliver.

We built SubVet to fix that. As a certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), we give agencies a direct, compliant path to the HVAC parts they need. No middlemen games. No procurement headaches. One call, one quote, one shipment.

We're not a pass-through operation. SubVet performs a Commercially Useful Function on every transaction — we source parts from our distributor network, verify specifications, manage logistics, and ensure on-time delivery. That's not just good business, it's a compliance requirement, and we take it seriously.

Based in Sacramento, we serve state agencies statewide — from DGS headquarters to remote CalFire stations to Caltrans maintenance facilities across the Central Valley.

Our Commitment

Every transaction with SubVet supports veteran employment and veteran-owned enterprise in California. We believe the state's DVBE program works best when agencies have access to vendors who are genuinely committed to delivering value — not just meeting a compliance checkbox.

Commercially Useful Function

California Government Code requires DVBE vendors to perform a Commercially Useful Function — meaning we must be responsible for the execution of a distinct element of the work. Here's what that looks like at SubVet.

1

Parts Sourcing

We identify, locate, and negotiate pricing on replacement HVAC parts from our distributor and manufacturer network. We don't just forward orders.

2

Specification Verification

We cross-reference part numbers, verify compatibility with existing equipment, and confirm specifications before placing orders. Wrong parts don't ship.

3

Logistics Management

We coordinate shipping, track deliveries, and ensure parts arrive at the correct facility on schedule. Rush and emergency delivery managed in-house.

4

Quality Assurance

We verify that parts received match order specifications and are free of defects before forwarding to the agency. Returns and warranties handled by us.

5

Customer Support

Direct line to a real person who knows HVAC. Technical questions, order status, alternative part recommendations — we handle it all.

6

Documentation

Complete transaction documentation including quotes, purchase orders, invoices, shipping records, and warranty information. Audit-ready on every order.
